Technique

The hat is crocheted using double strands of yarn.
Because multiple colours are worked across the side of the hat, intarsia technique is used — which means the unused yarn is carried along and crocheted over so it’s hidden within the stitch.

The chart is worked using colour changes, without cutting the yarn.
Be careful not to crochet too tightly, as that may reduce stretch.
